about him shion was born and raised in makati city before moving to quebec to further his studies. adjusting to the sudden change was a rough transition (he almost had the urge to fly back if it weren't for his mother's consistent persuasion), but he made it work. surprisingly.despite his passion for the arts—most specifically, the field of 3d animation—shion was forced to take up education for his bachelor's degree. 'forced' is what he would say, but over time, he found himself enjoying the program. behind his aloof and quiet demeanor—which almost everyone knows him for—he looked surprisingly passionate and enthusiastic whenever he was actively teaching, presenting in class, or simply helping his blockmates during lectures. (note: the beginning years of his undergraduate life was just him being stubborn, reckless, and a huge pain in his parents' neck, but we don't talk about that.)after earning his bachelor's degree, completing his master's at mcgill university, and getting certified to teach, shion managed to secure a position at a prestigious university in tokyo—specifically, tokyo university of the arts. there, he combined his expertise in teaching with his passion for digital animation and 3d rendering, applying the skills he had worked hard to master throughout his graduate studies. for someone who emphasizes that he has no patience for dealing with or teaching younger students, they seem to take a huge liking to him and feel remarkably comfortable around him—a feeling that goes both ways, even if he wouldn't openly admit it.fast-forward to his life now, shion is still happily (or at least, he likes to think so) pursuing the career path he grew to love. he lives independently in tokyo alongside his trusty yet moody feline companion, siobhan—or, as he likes to call her, furball. despite his busy lifestyle and hectic schedule, shion still finds the time to hang out with the friends he met during his stay in japan, usually spending his off-hours either practicing his 3d work or competing in underground street races.
